So, I used to be good about writing a little list of gratitude in the morning, but I haven’t done it this year. I do, however, know the importance of finding gratitude and I’ve always thought of Thanksgiving as a reminder of the importance of family and a chance to count your blessings.
I know a list of 21 things isn’t a replacement for daily gratitude practice, but I still thought it was fitting to share on Thanksgiving. I hope to start a daily gratitude practice like I’ve done in the past, but for right now here’s what we got!
This is my more fun and not-so-serious 21 things I’m grateful for in 2021!
- Watching the Holiday on Netflix (until November 30)
- 10 minute version of All Too Well
- The new Oklahoma City Bakery, Harvey Bakery (11/10 would recommend)
- Playing games, specifically, What the Meme and chess with your family. No matter how mad I get when I lose.
- Dogs. Dogs. and Dogs. I have an Aussie Doodle and a French Bulldog that are my favorites.
- Getting Half-Baked Harvest 9 Favorite Things in my email inbox every Sunday morning
- Starbucks hot chocolate and bullying my boyfriend into looking at Christmas lights with me. This is a preemptive grateful. I haven’t done this quite yet.
- This brand new website from Alison Roman and step-by-step Thanksgiving meals
- Reading good books (The Personal Librarian was suprisingly good)
- Baking! Pies! For! Thanksgiving! (I think pumpkin is the move this year!)
- My moms dressings, it’s seriously the best. It’s got a lot more sausage than bread, which makes it meaty and almost a whole meal on its own.
- (putting things inside of paranthesis. I’m grateful for this mark of puncuation)
- The number 13 and all it has done for the Taylor Swift fanbase. And a link to the All Too Well short film.
- Learning to journal/start my day reading the bible and I’m grateful for the impact it has made on the rest of my day!
- That podcast became a thing? I thought they seemed so borning 5 years ago, but now I’m obsessed with them. Also, link to my podcast playlist!
- Writing 1 million words this year according to grammarly. Grateful to have job where I get to type alllll day.
- Trader Joes and the Trader Joes List Youtube to help guide me through the best foods Trader Joes is rotating that week.
- The Thanksgiving day parade + mimosa + french toast for the perfect start to the Thanksgiving festivities
- I’m suprisingly grateful for this website and the ability to just write whatever I feel like, just for the fun of it.
- Super grateful for in-person events, in-person class and (hopefully) Zoom slowly going away!
- Obviously my family and friends and boyfriend and everyone that has made lots of happy moments with me!
